Kenneth S. Mitchell, J.D., M.S.

Founder and President

Ken Mitchell, M.S., J.D. brings his Master's Degree in Business and J.D. Degree in Business Law to provide his clients with high quality consulting services. In addition, he also brings a comprehensive legal and business background spanning over 25 years including experience in Fortune 500 companies, governmental entities, and large, medium, and small business. Most recently he served as General Counsel, Vice-President of Human Resources, Chief Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary for a privately-held technology company and global payment services provider with offices in the U.S., Canada, U.K. and Ireland.

He also worked in the business transactional/corporate finance department of Davis Wright Tremaine, LLP, a premier international law firm with offices in Seattle, Washington D.C., New York, Alaska, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, and Shanghai. While there, he focused his practice on mergers and acquisitions, business transactions, corporate finance, real estate, and corporate governance and compliance.

After Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, Ken established his own law firm and focused his practice on a wide range of business transactions, corporate finance, real estate, and commercial litigation for small, medium-sized, and large businesses throughout the Pacific Northwest. During this time, he was also appointed to the Board of Governors for the Oregon State Bar and eventually served as Vice-President and Chair of the Access to Justice Committee. He also served as a member of the Standing Committee on Paralegal Education for the American Bar Association and the Lawyer Referral and Information Services Committee.

Ken has also provided his expertise and vast legal experience and business knowledge to thousands of students in universities throughout the United States. For example, for the last 18 years, He has taught the following courses:
